I fully expect to get zero views on this article. No Caps fan in their right mind would click on this and relive last night’s abuse. That being said, I’d like to welcome all Pens, Bruins, Rangers, and Leafs fans to my blog. Go home Flyers fans. You can talk when you make the playoffs.

Nicklas Backstrom and Alex Ovechkin set the tone early for the Caps with two quick first period goals. For a brief second Caps fans could relax. Would it last? Of course not. Auston Matthews answered the Caps scores with a douchey goal of his own. I don’t know Matthews personally, but I’m going to assume anyone that spells ‘Austin’ with an ‘O’ is a massive tool.

Kuzy would add to the Caps lead in the second period — giving the Caps a dreaded 3-1 lead. It all went down hill from there. The only bright spot was when Braden Holtby came charging out of goal to stop Mitch Marner on the breakaway.

For the third game in a row overtime was necessary, and for the second game in a row the Caps took the L. Tyler Bozak finished the Caps off with a power play goal two minutes into overtime. The Caps are now down one game in the series with a crucial fourth game to come Wednesday night.
